Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are Therapy for Anxiety and Stress sessions like?
A: I find that the best way to address anxiety is to first create a comfortable and safe space in our relationship to explore everything you’re carrying. From there, I tailor your session to what you need - a place to vent, brainspotting techniques, mindfulness or even simple exercises to shift your thinking. This is your space and place, and I’m here to walk with you through it all.
Q: How long do I need to be in therapy for anxiety and stress?
A: I find that my clients usually find the most transformative change with a minimum of 12 sessions, weekly. As always, we check in on how you’re feeling with progress and can always stop treatment at any time.
Q: How do I know if Therapy for anxiety and stress will work for me?
A: While I can’t make guarantees, I know that the strongest predictor of success in therapy is your relationship with me. I’m confident that working with someone who has also struggled with balancing it all will give you the support and compassion to feel empowered in your healing. We all look for providers that really know what we’re going through, and I know because I’ve been there too. With my lived experience, Brainspotting training, and person centered lens - I can create the safe place you need to finally take care of you and manage your anxiety and stress.
Q: How do we get started?
A: I’m ready when you are! Let’s set up a complimentary 15 minute consultation here. I prefer email, and we can set up a time to chat that works for both of us. During the consultation, you’ll share your concerns with me, I’ll share a little more about how I work and if we feel that we’d be a good fit - we can go over scheduling and availability and get started on your healing.
